If your physician does not have admitting privileges, our Medical Director or other attending physician will be happy to oversee your care while you are staying with us. Dr. Tranto was born and raised in Weirton, W.V. She attended Youngstown State University and graduated with honors with a combined science degree. She earned her doctoral degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) in 2000 where she also trained in the philosophy that the body is a unit mind, body, and spirit. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency program at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she was also awarded Best Primary Care Resident.
Dr. Tranto is board certified in internal medicine (specialized care for adults and elderly). She maintained her own private practice in Weirton for 10 years. During that time, she became certified as a medical review pfficer and was employed as a “Mill Doc” for both Arcelor Mittal and the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Subsequently, she went on to work at Harrison Community Hospital in both Cadiz and Scio, Ohio. Currently, Dr. Tranto is employed by Trinity Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio. She enjoys teaching medical students and maintains clinical faculty status at WVSOM.
Dr. Tranto was honored with the Primary Care Outstanding Preceptor Award by WVSOM students, voted “Best of the Best” internists by Herald Star numerous times, invented and holds the patent for the first maternity lab coat, and is currently completing a children’s book.
She is married with twp children and serves as a youth director and Sunday School teacher at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Weirton, W.V.

Of note, Dr. Tranto will provide daily rounding at The Laurels and is the only local physician who provides this unique service.
Dr. Shoshi is a Board Certified Internist with comprehensive training in Internal Medicine. He has over twenty years of experience, primarily in Outpatient Care, Inpatient Care (Acute and Critical Care), and Long Term Care. He graduated from the University of Kosovo/Former Yugoslavia and completed his fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Shoshi is affiliated with Weirton Medical Center, and currently has offices in Weirton and Steubenville. Dr. Shoshi was born in Kosovo, but currently resides in Wintersville, with his wife and three children. He enjoys jogging and computers. Dr. Shoshi is also fluent in Albanian, Serbian and Croatian.
